Jose'

Jose' and his family live in the Central American country of Guatemala.  The organization that connected us with Jose' is a non-profit called Unbound.  They currently handle sponsoring approximately 300,000 people living in poverty around the world.

The Durham Church Men's Group decided to sponsor Jose' and signed up with Unbound.  We collect our donation at the monthly Men's Group meeting.  Money is sent to the local Unbound facility where they provide the funds to Jose' and his family.

It is unimaginable how much the funds we send can do in the poverty where they live.  We were reminded of this difficult life in poverty watching the NETFLIX movie "Living on a Dollar".  This amazing video covers how impoverished people in so many Third World Countries live on only about $30 a month.​

During our Men's Group closing worship, we always add intersessions as we pray for the health and safety for our distant neighbor Jose' and his family.
